Darkstar One is a simulation game developed by Ascaron Entertainment and published by CDV software.
Plot:
Centuries have passed since the intergalactic war and the races within the known universe have lived more or less in peace. However, a race called 'Thul' frequently violates this peace.
You will control the main character of this game, Kayron Jarvis, his father gave him a very advanced ship before he died.
Now you will have to do a lot of different missions. But the most important thing is that you don´t have to follow the main story, as you will discover your father death left a lot of questions without answer, you will be able to investigate what really happened or just do some other stuff, like steal from other starships or take part in a war, it's up to you.
You will be able to travel for more than 200 solar systems, and explore new civilizations. In addition, you will find six races: Terran, Mortok, Raptor, Oc´to, Arrack and the Thul. Each race has different weapons, abilities, ships and battle strategies. All these races, after the war created a Union to prevent a new war.They have peace but all of them have problems with the Thul, which are developing a new technology which is considered dangerous for the rest of the races.
Graphics and sound
the graphics are incredible, the scenarios are amazing. The sound effects are very good, and the sound track is nice.
To sum up, if you want to travel in a spaceship this is your game. |
